as traders we make some stupid mistakes.....funny mistakes.....but the price is costly

1. Key in error

How many times we as trader key in one wrong number which cost us money?

• Instead of buy click sell....instead of sell click buy. When want to q buy u sold your stocks....when want to sell you key in buy which make u in a horrible position
  
• one extra "0" or one less "0" instead of buying 500 lots you took 5000 lots which is very dangerous....or when selling instead of selling 500 you sold 50 and thought you sold all?
  
• key in wrong price can be costly. For example buy q 26ct-26.5ct. You want to offload your stocks but key in 16ct....if suddenly the que is remove your quantity will be match to the highest bidder same as buying
  

always double check before hitting the enter key. better late than never

2. Internet issue

Happens alot in malaysia. internet problem can be costly especially in high speed stock. The 1 minute it took to disconnect and reconnect again could easily cost you huge money.

make sure you have good internet connection, a bad internet connection can be very costly

3.Forgetful

We took 1k lot we thought we have 500 only. Only just to realise you have 500 more. Or you put a buy q and forget about it. The last thing you want is having a stock falling stock you are not aware of in your portfolio.

make it a habit to double check your portfolio from time to time and order status for outstanding buy/sell que

4. Remembering your price

Not sure how to name this but. happen to me once. i took bornoil 35ct 500lots suddenly the price flash and go to 37 unknowingly i thought it went to the next bid so i key in sell 35.5ct. Unfortunately 37ct buy q only have 150 lots, 36.5ct buy q 50lots, and 36ct 300. So instead of making a 2ct profit my profit was cutdown drasticly due to a mistake like this.

Always remember the price you took and the quantity, study the buy sell que and the price before making a decision. thus said there are times you have no time to think at all.

5. Standby your handphone beside your computer!!!!! For prepaid user make sure credit is available and not expired!!!!!!

just in case you need to call your broker....i remember got one time my order got stuck and cannot find phone . This one can mean win 500 or lose 500

6. CALCULATOR beside you

for me my math not good if i take 1k lot at people take 538 lot from me i blurr.....i duno how many left and get confuse
